Jummper question

    hey, I was just wondering if you do something with the jumpper can you start the computer up a diffrent way? I heard it somewhere and if there is a way can soemone tell me how to do it please? thanks

    You realize your question is very vague and generalized. What do you mean you can start your pc in a diffrent way? what motherboard are you using? what are you trying to accomplish?

    Yeah, I guess it was now that I look at it. I am really not sure about anything to be honest, I need to get on an account with admin powers and a friend of mine told me if I do something with the jumpper then my computer will start up diffrently so I could acess this right. I guess I am asking could that be done and if so how? sorry for the lack of info

    Hi,

    There is no jumber setting for "admin powers" in windows. There is however sometimes a password needed to change bios setting if that option was enabled. If this password is lost you would have to clear cmos with a jumper, probly what your freind had confused or was referring to and probly way beyond the scope of your question.

    You shoild start with the Adminastrator/owner of the PC.
    Maybe there is a reason you dont Have admin rights!
