Juno probs...................

Here's the situation............My friend is subjected to using dialup and has been using Juno for a couple of years without probs (of course it's slow)until today. She is unable to get online and a message pops up saying that the software is corrupt,so..........I uninstalled Juno and removed all references to Juno I could fine by searching. I downloaded a Juno.exe to my comp and put it on a CD and attempted to install it on her comp. Same problem. Says software is corrupt and to reinstall. ?????????? Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Comp is a Dell 2400 1 gig ram 40 gig hddr. Home XP os. Using mostly IE (I have tried to convince her to change to FF but so far no luck. Thank You.

Just loaded the "new" Juno onto a friends machine, you may need some of the old files if she wants to recover her old email, they were in the Program Files, Juno folder, moved them to desktop. They received a disk in the mail and had the old and the new installed, causing problems. It seems to be a rip of Outlook Express and IE. Got over 1 Gig cleaned out with CCleaner with none of the advanced options picked. Defrag with JkDefrag took about an hour, and for some reason the spooler service kept the processor hopping so set it to manual, I'll save that for another time. Most of the errors in event viewer were Juno related. I guess I should start looking into dialup too, broadband is nice, but I could live w/o it, and the added expense.
