Just a sample of the way the media portrays we Americans:

Here is a classic example of how the media portrays not only the government but the way the entire "World" looks at us:

    The media self-explanatory!

Don't tempt people. This thread could get out of hand. Politics will always do that.

I agree. We should stick to a noncontroversial subject, like religion.

    How about grammar?

It is not we Americans, it is us Americans.

    Get it right, sheesh.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. The media always prefers the wrong pictures... and words. Jealousy, envy, ingratitude. Been that way since before I was born. The French have been mad at us since we got Hitler out of their hair.

No good deed goes unpunished. How many other countries are willing help even their enemies in times of hardship and disaster (besides us)?

*cough* The United Kingdom of Great Britain. :)

But, I think on the whole, probably most countries recognise that they aren't at war with civilians. Plus, if WE muck it up, we help clean up, my mother always told me. ;)
If a British or American, or some other allied force missile took out some unfortunate persons home, I don't think it's unreasonable to give them a bag of grain, or whatever we're giving them as some form of compensation.
Hell, if it was in America, they'd sue you for the stress caused. ;)

I'm rambling, little sense (as usual, ha) I have to be up at 3.20A.M. for work but i'm not completely tired yet, I wanted to be in bed, asleep about an hour ago.

But yeh, you do tend to be portrayed as the horrible Americans, maybe not so much in Britain, but you're a...THE super power, people want someone to blame (for everything) I suppose you're the obvious target. But come on, we get enough of the 'other side' the wonderful, brave, compassionate, "perfect 10", 'blessed by God' Americans too, if we're still heavily relying on Hollywood for entertainment that is.

*cringes at the bad grammar she can't be bothered to fix*
