i was sitting at the drive thru at macdonald's this a.m. and the thought occurred to me that we as a nation could help solve the obesity problem from eating fast foods by ordering your food as usual to the soice in the speaker and menu board, then getting out of our vehicles and pushing them to the pick up window to get our food. a little exercise before we down those fries and big macs that are clogging our arteries collectively. an exercise lane ,not a sit and wait lane.:) what do ya'll think?

Might work if you're driving a very small car and not on your way to work...otherwise...Hang it up!

Sounds like something Clark Howard would come up with.

IMO, three things kind of kill this idea:

1-Most folks in this nation are so out of shape, they couldn't push a car three feet, much less three car lengths in a drive-thru lane.
2-There are many more nutritious options in fast food than McDonald's; then again, gravel is more nutritious than McDonald's.
3-You'd look like a moron doing it.

Don't forget the heart attacks. That would shut down the drive through all by itself.

Besides, there is enough calories in a meal to power several miles of car pushing, with lard left over.

I'm a pretty big (wide) man. I started an exercise program several years ago, ended up gaining 10 pounds and loosing about 5 inches off my waist. Muscle is denser than fat, ergo smaller but heavier.

Better yet, jog to "Fast food place", jog thru the drive thru without ordering, then jog home. :D

The problem with mcdonalds is people see it as a meal option  Its treat and should be treated as so if you like it,the meals are designed to appeal to the very primitive of all tastes that of calories;sugar and fat with no concern toward nutrition
