Just another ie7/flash9/ntdl.dll problem

    Ok, I understand these are pretty common problems. During certain videos (interactive radar mostly) ie7 comes up with a "has encountered an error ..." and shuts down. I uninstalled flash player and reinstalled from a recommended site, I have also run Norton, AdAware, Spy Sweeper, Sophos Anti-Rootkit, CCleaner, and RemoveIt Pro XT. Here is the most recent msg I got involving Flash Player:
    AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.6000.16441 ModName: flash9c.ocx
    ModVer: 9.0.45.0 Offset: 00099baf

    C:\DOCUME~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\5eea_appcompat.txt

    What should be my next move? (I'm afraid it's going to be uninstall/reinstall ie7) :banghead

    btw, I read the 'run & read me first' and noticed it hasn't been updated in a while. Any new & improved programs over the ones listed?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    I'm don't think you are looking at the dates properly. The procedure was last updated on 5/05/2007. The thread itself was created a long time ago. The current required procedure is in that thread.

    What you posted in your first message more than likely has nothing to do with malware. You should probably post a request for help on this in the Software Forum.

    If you want to check your PC for Malware, run the READ & RUN ME and attach the logs.
