    Hi,

I have just completed doing the READ ME RUN ME process and have attached the 4 logs I have generated. The root repealer log is missing because my computer will not let me run it even with AV and user enable control off.

I did rename the Root Repealer file as suggested. When I choose Files then scan in root repealer my computer freezes the screen is just horizontal lines and I have to manually turn the computer off and reboot.

NOW TO THE ISSUES I HAVE BEEN HAVING:

-about every 4th time I turn on my computer it gets stuck on the windows loading screen and will not progress any further. I have to manually turn off and then turn it on then it will often boot up fine- although I might have to do this 2 or 3 times.

    - my computer will occassionally just freeze and crash- just horizontal lines on the screen.

    - internet browsing randomly will become extremely slow on this computer even though the broadband on another computer through the same connection will be fast. This issue can last for long periods of time.

    - I checked CPU usage during the above and it will be hovering at 15%, and as soon as I open a browser and attempt to view webpages the CPU usage jumps to 100% and stays there. I have a 4gb processor and am not running anything unnesecary.

-I know there are traces of Mirar toolbar on the computer even though I have tried removing it through add/ remove programs and Spybot. With Spybot it tells me I don't have permission to fully remove it.

I was having similar issues to the above on an old computer, this one was working fine till I transfered over alot of software and files from the old computer.

The problems listed above were a minor irritation at first but now seem to be getting more frequent and lasting longer.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

    Simon

It looks like the scans took care of your issues with malware. I am curious about these items:
    Code:
    C:\ProgramData\
    spl256b.tmp 1 Nov 2009 3934936 "SPL256B.tmp"
    spl4319.tmp 1 Nov 2009 745648 "SPL4319.tmp"
    spl7206.tmp 26 Nov 2009 2940643 "SPL7206.tmp"
    spl9d67.tmp 26 Nov 2009 7551783 "SPL9D67.tmp"
    splee94.tmp 5 Jan 2010 2135300 "SPLEE94.tmp"
    splff58.tmp 5 Jan 2010 1813692 "SPLFF58.tmp"
Plus you need to clean out these folders:
    C:\Windows\temp\
    C:\Users\Si\AppData\Local\Temp\

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real-time protection. They are useful as backup scanners. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures in step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore ato create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
