Just had the most pointless IT exam ever!!!

Hehe, so i'm in the middle of my mock exams (practice GCSEs) and had IT today. Didn't have a clue what to revise, cos quite frankly we've done nothing in lessons!
So went in, sat down and it was all about data in spreadsheets and taking infor from them!!!
One of the questions showed a menu with a load of text aligned to the right, and the question was "how is this text displayed?" and being multiple choice, the answers were something like, aligned left, aligned right, a header, or a footer - what's going on there??!!!! this is GCSE for crying out loud!!!!!!

 

as simple as it may sound to you, you would be surprised at the number of people who don't have the vocabulary for IT and software products.

 

Yeh i suppose, but i learnt stuff like that in year 7, or first grade as some say in the US. Hmmm o well, guess its just me then!

 

I know the feeling. I am back in college and could teach one of the classes I am taking now. Our last lab was "how to use FDISK"... lol.

 

I had an assessment on my working knowledge of Windows functions. I got a 97% only because the TEST was incorrectly coded.

Beat that, i was right, the test was wrong.

 

lol i can see it on the front pages of USA Today - "Pupil beats test!"

 

well, it's pretty square that their testing us on out IT knowledge when they didn't even screen their own scripting... it said that noone at all answered number 29, but we all did, and gave wrong answers as right and vice versa.

pretty sad.
