Just insalled Ram need help

i just upgraded my ram from 2 - 256MBs to 2 - 512MBs and when i look into the system information it says the ram is still at 504MB

 

Have you reconfigured your BIOS to read RAM larger then 256? If not that is the reason why you have this problem. I forget what the option is in BIOS but it is very easy, Try searching around your Settings and look at your RAM settings. But I am sure that is how you can deal with this type of issue

First , What mobo are you using ? Cause I can not tell if you have the same BIOS as me, but there should just be an Advanced setup and theres also something that says Ram 64m or something just highlight that and read the message on the right
