Just need a little help please.

Hey I am trying to fix my home computer. The internet won't connect and so I'm downloading the norm for spy and virus removal. I'm wondering how it would be possible to update the programs and still burn them to the disk because I won't be able to update them at home because of the no internet problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm running XP home edition on my computer.
