Just wondering if I ran COMBO FIX, then ran and fix using HIJACKME, and finally AVIRA ANTIVIR, and everything got fixed and came out clean... would I still need to run the other ones listed on the READ ME first instructions?

My PC seems to be working fine now and no more ads/malware/trojans... I know I should run the others too, but I jsut want to minimize the possibility of messing my pc up when it looks like it's already fixed.

    What do you guys think?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Yes, you need to run ALL instructions in the READ & RUN ME and in the order written. HijackThis (not HijackMe which sounds like malware) does not locate malware and ComboFix is not a comprehensive malware scanner. It only looks for specific things. If you wish to properly clean your PC, the READ & RUN ME must be completed from beginning to end and the requested logs should be attached.

If you were worried about messing up your PC, running ComboFix and HijackThis on your own are more dangerous than the other parts of the READ ME.
