Juuping c kee problem

    Another dumb question here guys, How come every time i hit my c kee that little flashing line jumps back 2 the first word ? It only does it with the c kee , ever since i got rid of security tool, what can i do 2 fix this pesty problem. thanks in adv. :(

    It's all the time,anywhere i type. on this post, email, its every time i hit the c kee it jumps back to the top. so i guess its any program u think ? beats me.

    What operating system and what keyboard (make and model) ? Obviously the c key (not kee) is set up as a hotkey so I need to know what software controls it. To figure that out, I need to know the brand of keyboard.

    It's a compaq ( Key )board model# 5137, pc is windows xp. sorry about the spelling I'm from Tn. :-D

    So it is just a stock keyboard that came with the computer.
    While the computer is off, swap with another keyboard. If you do not have a spare in the house, ask one of your friends to bring over a keyboard so you can test your computer.
    Next turn on the computer and see if the c key still acts weird. If it does, it is a software problem. If it doesn't, then it is a keyboard problem and your best solution is to buy another keyboard. You can sometimes find keyboards cheap at places like Walmart or Big Lots.

    A software problem will be harder to track down so I'm hoping it is the keyboard.

    tanks a million i hope that is the problem, Now when i hit the #7 it adds a zero & other odd stuff. I will try the keyboard.

    Hey piodr, I noticed the c dont move or jump when I go into ...start , then search . when I type their it's ok. now the # 7 makes a 70 :(

    plodr i think it's not the key board ,the on screan key board works fine if that means anything.
