K8N-E Deluxe ( Problems )

Not sure if I should take this board back or not.
I'm having nothing but problems.

Onboard audio is the latest-----I have to plug my speakers into the mic jack to get them to work!!!!!

Then every time I reboot, I have to go into the Realtek utility in order to get the speakers up and running again.

I can never get the Windows startup/shutdown sound no matter which jack the speakers are plugged into. Tried headphones, same thing. The connecting sensor NEVER works properly.

I've tried updating the audio drivers.....no dice.

I have also noticed the LAN seems a slow. tried new drivers for that....also...no dice.

Should I just scrap it and get a sound card and a secondary NIC, or does anyone think this board might be flakey??

I have noticed there are more posts surrounding problems with this board, then there are Good posts.

Any suggestions??

 

Take the board back, sounds like something flakey in the pci bus
