kaspernsky anti-hacker broke my internet

    I tried for two days to get this firewall software to work work on my computer. I even contacted kaspernsky support, (I think English was their
    second language-LOL), to no avail.
    I have Road Runner Cable, and this program just didn't want to work with it.
    If you have broadband cable I would steer clear of this program.
    On the good side, I did get a refund.
    Just thought I would let everyone know.

    It's Kaspersky Anti-Hacker

    I do not know of anyone having problems with their software but have mostly only heard of people using their antivirus program. Everyone likes it.


    All firewalls have to be setup properly to allow applications to access (the ones you want to have access) the internet.

    oops sorry about the spelling.

    I know how to use firewalls. I have no problem using sygate or zone alarm.
    I use kaspersky anti-virus as my anti-virus program, and I like it, so I wanted
    to give thier firewall a try-but like I said in my previous post it would not work.

    You're welcome. As I said, I never used it. You could check what people know over in the Software Forum. What OS are you using? If Win XP SP2, did you disable the built-in firewall?

    xp pro sp2, yes I disabled the built in firewall.
    I really don't need to trouble-shoot it, I got my refund, I just wanted people
    to be aware of the problem, I think that kaspersky labs knows too, they didn't even argue with me about getting a refund. Their, reply to my emails, was basically something like " oh were sorry that our software didn't work, here's your money back" they didn't even want to trouble-shoot it at all.
