Two problem I still have and need help with.

#1 I cannot open any files in windows explorer, I just get an error message(as seen in the attached picture)

#2 The 4 Items in my "libraries" folder(Documents, Music, Pictures, Videos) have an added .library-ms on them, and I can't open anything in there.(Also seen in the attached picture)

I would appreciate any help here, and thank you to Kestrel13! for helping me with malware problems.

 

For your file associations, you will have to download the zip file here with all of the reg files and import them individually per the instructions.

I see that you did not have a malware problem. Have you tried a system restore to a date before the problem occured?

 

I think combo fix bombed my file associations one time, but it was easily fixed with the associations restoration that tgell recommended .

 

No I never did a restore on it. Also it is not a windows 7 PC, I upgraded to 7 about a year ago. I wonder if that has something to do with it. rolleyes
