Keyboard And Mouse

I bought a Logitech keyboard K 520 and mouse M310 combo with a single USB transmitter or sender.
It does not type well in that I have to make corrections for many typos I don't feel I am making.
I have moved the transmitter to different USB ports and as close as I can to the units and pc as possible.
Do you have any suggestions?

 

I would try the keyboard and mouse combo on a different computer in a different part of the house. If it is still acting up, return the combo and get a refund or different set.

If it works fine with the second computer, then check for sources of RFI/EMI (radio frequency interference/electromagnetic interference). These will typically be other electronic devices like TVs or radios. Nearby cell or microwave towers can cause this too.

Barriers and large metal surfaces like metal filing cabinets or the sides of a refrigerator can affect wireless performance.

 

I tried to download a driver from logitech it is in the upper right hand corner of my screen and have tried everything my wife is bringing home a wired mouse to see if I can navigate with that I’ve been to device manager reinstall the driver and as much as I could find on the web

 

This began when I downloaded a driver from logitech for my combo set which is two years old I have since gotten a cable mouse so I use that for the mouse and I use the sender or transmitter for the keyboard
I just wanted to thank you for your suggestion as a courtesy

 

Perhaps you can roll back the driver and get it working again. In any case, thanks for coming back and posting your followup.

I have a wired mouse plugged in.
Should I unplug it before installing so I don’t damage it?

 

You can use a wired mouse if needed while installing the software but you should also have the Unifying receiver plugged in when setting up the software.

 

Thanks to you I am using the mouse in question to navigate now. I really appreciate your advice and the sequence you sent. I noticed a 32 bit selection when going through this again and I may have used it instead of the 64 bit which I have.

I would install the 64bit version if one is available.

 

In a previous post I noted that the first time I tried on my own, I may have used the 32 bit but when I did it again with your directions, I did use the 64 bit and it worked.

Computer keeps walking from sleep
Tried alot

 

I suspect there’s a setting under power options for USB which is preventing sleep.
Also check under device manager>USB for any similar settings.
I’ll check.

 

I disabled many boxes that could cause this before. Then I tried system restore and now sleep seems to work as well as he mouse.
I'll let you know if it occurs. New battery seems to be helping also

Wake timers is on as is hybrid.
I did not touch anything.

 

If sleep is now working well with the new keyboard & mouse then I’d not change any settings.

I just walked by the pc and it awoke from sleep.
There are so many areas where it can go wrong so I am at a loss. Power's settings I mentioned above are not clear so I do not know who to set them do you?

If you find you cannot use the mouse to wake the PC when you want to after this then enable it again.
There’s also the same setting under keyboard but if you disable bother devices then you might lose the ability to access the PC.

 

I will let you go for Thanksgiving. I messed up because my pc will not turn on or of at all unless I press the power button.
It is not reacting to any mouse or key board.

Also, I am sorry for all your work but I cannot see your images clearly enough as they are so small.

 

It sounds like to changed the setting under both Mouse & keyboard Power management tabs & turned off allow this device to wake the computer.

Usually you can click on the images to increase their size but apparently it’s not possible here.

I see clearly in OneDrive. I must have a different version as some of the choices are a bit different but most the same.
It greatly helped and thanks again.
I set the power to default and now it is stable -for a while.
Windows is so complicated and fickle. My wife uses a Chromebook and never has an issue. with extensions you can do as much as Windows if online.
I have been at this for years and if it isn't one thing it is another.
Anyway I do appreciate your work and cooperation. I'll be back if something happens and it is more specific.
