I have a serious and deep prob here. My keyboard does not work at all, so im stuck on this windows virtual k/b. Whenever i press q/w/e or r my pc shuts down. t = alt + tab. asdfzxcv don't work at all. Scanned the pc with malwarebyte, SUPERantispyware and found only some cookies. Kaspersky didnt find anything and Security task manager didnt show any threatening programs running. Tried several keyboards and the problem persist. Tried reinstaling the keyboard drivers on Device manager and that didnt help either. I cant even go to safe mode because of this. Managed to do windows startup recovery but it said that this could not be fixed automatically. Here is my hijack log scan, could somebody please check if there are some unsual logs.

It might also be worth looking in control panel to make sure that you have the right keyboard layout selected.

Right you've ruled the keyboard out, your pretty sure you don't have any malware and the virtual keyboard has the same function as a regular keyboard so it would trigger the same problem I would imagine.

Could you describe the shutdown,is it an instant off or does windows actually go through its shutdown sequence? A hard shutdown where the computer shutsdown instantly would point to a problem with your USB port so do you have a PS2 keyboard you could try?

I noticed all the keys are over one side of the left side of keyboard? This wouldn't make sense really if it were a problem with the USB port or PS2 as they send the key data via the same wire.

    Is this a laptop?
