keyboard issues

Not sure where to go with this, however when I hit a key it does not print.

I have trouble with typing on my email and often when I am typing on word pad.

I have an HP computer, windows 8, Model p2-1343w x64 based.

There are numbers on the bottom of the keyboard, I don't if they are needed
appreciate any information someone might have.-

 

Hey Java, have you tried a different keyboard to see if you have the same problems ??

 

Yes, I had been using an older keyboard it was doing it as well.
I purchased a new HP computer around March or April of this year and I have been using the new keyboard since.
So I don't if it is the keyboard or something else.
