This started about a week ago for me. My keyboard started being very sluggish where I had to mash the keys down hard for them to actually type. I'm not aware that anything was spilled on the keyboard. I scanned this thing with 5 different spyware cleaners and 2 different virus cleaners and I still seem to have the problem. What I found was odd though was that when I actually ran the spyware scanners the keyboard actually worked better. I also noticed that when I play a dvd in my d drive the keyboard also responded better. Any suggestions would be much appreaciated. I'm curious on knowing how to fix this problem.

Have you tried an external keyboard?

Which spyware and Anti-virus scanners did you use?

Spyware cleaners used were Ewido, Lavasoft, SpySweeper, Xoftspy, and Spyware doctor. Virus programs used were Mcafee and AVG. At this point I really didnt want to spend money on another keyboard. I want to do that as a last resort.

Check your Keyboard settings in the Control Panel.

    Repeat delay > 3/4 Short

    Repeat rate > Fast
