Keyboard problems

Hello everyone

For some strange reason the keys on my keyboard do not seem to work properly. Each time I press on a key a completly different thing appears.
For example:
When I press ''s'' the letters ''as'' appears
When I press ''x'' the letters ''zx appears
When I press ''backspace'' the start menu appears
When I press '''' the letters ''as'' appears

 

On the same machine, does a different keyboard give you the same problems?

 

I know that this is not an answer to your prob but I wonder if it will make you think in a different direction.. I have a Mobile phone that will do similar when I go to text a message, my daughter said that it is set to speed write or similar ... Is there anything (button) on the keyboard that would enable a speed write ?????

 

I assume you tried unplugging it and replugging it in and verifying its securly connected.

 

As Mada_Milty recommends, try another keyboard on your PC.
You will soon find out if it is your keyboard, or not.
As a double check, try your keyboard on someone else's PC.
Keyboards are cheap to replace. Bazza
