Keystrok Logger, RealSpyMonitor

I just did my first spy search using my new System Mechanic software, it found a software it called "RealSpyMonitor", a hidden keystroke recorder that records all keystrokes and other computing activity into a log file for subsequent viewing, and perhaps sending by email. I have zone alarm, haven't noticed any undue sending of messages, that I'm aware of.

In System Mechanic it identifies the culprit and offers to remove it, yet it doesn't tell me where it is!!! Duh!

I downloaded the software from the mfg website, http://www.loadtrend.com/realspy/index.htm burst out the software, searched on both hard drives and peripherals for any and all of the files found in the software and could not find any of them, though I will rely upon System Mechanic that it did find the software.

Now, I want to know how to find 'where' something is, using System Mechanic or any other such anti-spy software, and I want to find out, if possible, where this spyware was deposited from and when.

Please help, I anticipate positive and encouraging solutions.

I checked the spy-chcker's web site, have come back with some useful information, perhaps you can find more info here too.

http://www.spython.com/spywaredetails.aspx?id=RealSpyMonitor presents this information, and more:

RealSpyMonitor is a hidden computer monitoring application. The program has been designed to monitor key strokes, capture screen shots, log website visitation, record chat sessions, and record files accessed on the machine. The application contains functions for emailing or otherwise saving such information for use by third party affiliates. Real Spy Monitor jeopardizes user privacy and system security.

Are you sure this was not installed by someone on purpose to monitor your PC usage?

Who's PC is it?

See some info below.

Identifying Files: Existence of RealSpyMonitor.exe, GetYahoo.dll, ijl11.dll, Plus.exe or WinHook.dll in the C:\Program Files\Real Spy Monitor\ directory. DO NOT delete without reading removal instructions first.
Removal Difficulty: Easy. Complete uninstall requires password used for original installation.
