I have IE version 7 running under Windows XP.

Frequently, when attempting to type into text fields on web pages, my keystrokes are ignored if the mouse pointer is over the field into which I am typing. As soon as I nudge the mouse out of the text field, my keystrokes register.

The problem manifests itself most often (but not every time) with the search boxes in Wikipedia, IMDB and Amazon.

I use IE8 on Windows 7 x64, and have the same problem. I use Firefox 99% of the time anyway, so I haven't tried anything to solve it yet.

    Hi Strangemachinex.
    I'm glad I'm not alone.
When you've experienced the problem, has it been while using the same sites as myself or with other sites?
    Mike
