I was trying to recall the rhymes we used to use as kids to pick sides for our games.
I think one of them was, One potato two potato, three potato four.
One the girls used to use was “dip, dip, dip, my blue ship, sailing on the water like a cup and saucer, O U T spells out.
    Anyone remember anymore
I was wondering what to-days kids would make of games we played, like, Tag, Marbles, British Bulldog, Thunder and Lightening and strange ones like Ton Weight Heavy On.

OK, I remember the "One potato two potato, three potato four", but we also used, "Eenie ,Meanie, Mighty, Moe, Catch a bunny by his toe, if he hollers, let him go, eenie, meanie, mighty, moe," and you got picked if you were on that last "Moe"! :-D

I remember it as "eenie meanie minie moe catch a Tiger by his toe if he hollers let him go, out goes Y-O-U" and who ever was pointed at when the letter u was said was it. :-D
The ever famous Rock, Scissors,Paper(I know it's not a rhyme but it was how we use to pick teams.)
Engine engine number nine going down the railroad line, if the train goes off the track so you want your money back, Yes or NO?" and I believe if they say Yes then you would say " My mother told me to pick this here one" (yeah I know "this here one" is improper. We were children at the timerolleyes)
I can only remember part of them. I guess I have Part timers(not AlzheimerLOL )

HI bigtrucks! I must have Part timers too, because I don't remember that last line at all! We just went to the MOE part... Kinda the shortened version of what you had :-D I guess we couldn't spell Y-O-U! :-D

PS: Yeah that was "minie" tho, bur sure sounded like mighty!!! :-D

When I was a kid, we'd play Hide and Seek.... But we called it Seek and Destroy, it was the full contact variety. We played in full camouflage in the middle of the night, some of us had night vision monoculars, it was a blast. People eventually started getting hurt too badly though, and we stopped playing.
