    I pulled up to a stoplight tonight a new PT Cruiser tried to race me!

    I couldn't help but laugh.

    150hp vs. 240hp.

    235 horsepower. Still laughing over here. My old 96 twin turbo pushes 300 stock.

    Still laughing, becuase this was a currently released model, and wasn't even a GT ;)

    Gotta remember I said tried, too. Not suceeded :p


    I didn't have to do much more than give it a little more gas than I normally do to leave the chump behind.

    Can you call that racing? I left him behind fromt he stop light and stopped when I went over the speed limit.

    He then caught up and flew past me doing about 70 in a 45....

    So, I wouldn't say I was racing. He was. I wasn't.

    Thats what makes it even more pathetic.

    the last good race i was in was my old beast aka the power dode, its an 88 dodge dakota, vs my friends 82 s-10 it was close. let me say it was a fast race

    Yeah, its like when I had a Prowler years ago and a guy in a rusty chevy minivan tried to race me. I didnt even bother, my son was 12 at the time and HE laughed at him :) I think the guy just wanted to see the car go. I cant get in too many races lately, seems people just like my car, so they dont care much. Closest I got was in a bar about a month ago, couple guys wanted to race for 100 bucks, I just got there so I said no because ... Well I wanted a drink... On the way out, I chatted with them and he was leaving, so I said, cool, I am going the same way, got that 100 bucks and he backed down.. So I linelocked it pulling out and then as always the tires warmed and hoooked and I was out of there. My buddy told me later the guy saw it and said he didnt want any of that :) Thats as close as I have come this year.
