Hey all, I have started collecting links for Canadian bands and artists. Anyone know some great Canadian music artists? I am looking for the unheard of, or underground....Any Genre...even opera!!;) I want to add these links to my web page so people that happen acroos my site can view the links. I am hoping people will add even the smallest and lesser known groups because face it...They usually are very much the better artist.
Tea party, and the hip don't count....Though they are good too.
    Stuff we havn't heard of...
    Cheers.
If you like I will include an added by...??.. above the link
    Double Cheers:D

There was an awesome band from Canada called Grade (Victory Records), who sadly broke up a few years ago. The singer is now a part of a new band called The Black Maria (Victory Records), also from Canada I beleive. The other members of Grade formed a band called Somehow Hollow.

Probably not your cup of tea, if you're into Opera, but Grade has always been one of my favorites.

I dunno about canadian but koRn are the best musicians on the planet. listen to the song Liar. And if you really like crazy death metal

Anything by fear factory or mudvayne

Drowning Pool is def. not Death Metal.

As for Korn...their old stuff is awesome. Their new stuff (haven't listened to latest album) is a sellout.

I have listened to korn since about 8 years ago, I agree their older stuff is awesome;)...
If you know some actual death metal that are canadian as well....Death meaning the beautiful sounds groups like Deicide, Carcass, Death, Hexx, Napalm Death.....etc.
    Then please let me know.
I still cant find a site for grade, though I did for "Somehow Hollow", and "Black Maria"

I was sure hoping more people would have ideas too..
I sure wish TOOL was Canadian and A Perfect Circle.....As Maynard is my musical hero.......

    LOL probably yours too!!!
    Keep the groups coming....
Special ty's to the "Grade Singer" input

there old stuff def is awesome, there new stuff isn't all bad though, liar, coming undone, and politics are all pretty good songs from the new album, twisted transistor is way overplayed. most of the idiots I know that have never heard of korn like them just because of that song and haven't heard anything else.I am listening to thoughtless right now:cool: next song=freak on a leash:cool:

They played here in Cranbrook several years ago at a bar. I couldn't go, because I was at a wedding, But I did head over for a few songs. They appreciated me in a suit on the dance floor:D :D They grew up a few hours from here.

Like I said, Grade is no more. They had a site a few years ago, but I guess it was taken down.

Isn't that chick (embarressed for even knowing this) Avril Lavine from Canada?

    Also, isn't Rush from Canada?

Check out Harry Manx ( and Dog my Cat--CD). Slide guitarist, extraordinaire.

Born on the Isle of Man, Manx spent his childhood in Canada and left in his teens to live in Europe, Japan, India and Brazil.

Not strictly Canadian, as he was born in the UK, but records on a Canadian label.

www.harrymanx.com , but broadband is recommended, to check out his site. Bazza
