Knowledge on this needed !

    Hi there does any one know what this app is sophos has pointed it out with these conditions

    Area: Local hard drives
    Description: Unknown hidden file
    Location: D:\hp\apps\APP03920\src\MSWORKS\PFILES\MSWORKS\LNCHTOUR.EXE
    Removable: Yes (but clean up not recommended for this file)
    Notes: (no more detail available)

    done lots of googling but to no avail any help on fixing or removal would help

    P.S was going to put in software forum but i think its maybe better being looked at by the malware fighters !

    Hi RJ

    I take it you have a HP PC, if so then its very likely if not mistaken that the D: partition is the restore partition and the location of many apps. I would be inclined to untick D: from your AV scans, but maybe one of the malware experts would comment on whether thats wise or not. But this file is unlikely to be malware.

    The file is part of MSWorks a valid Microsoft Office application.
