    Kodak ESP 3250 Printing Problem

have a Kodak ESP 3250 Printer that i bought new cartridges for.

The problem is the print quality on just normal text looks faded. Text documents are what i print the most.

I have tried the printers print head cleaning and alinement utility but the the print is still coming out looking faded.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks :)

    Hi

Where the new ink cartridges you bought, actual Kodak ones or a 3rd party works with type?

    Try the following HERE

but what I also check are the actual printer properties for quality, is the printer set to fast draft, is a specific type of paper chosen (try a different paper type, unless the brand you have used is the same one that previously printed text ok) etc as these can have an affect on quality.

I agree with David - not all ink is equal. While some 3rd party ink performs as well as genuine, not all does - and some 3rd party ink is not consistent between lots or production runs. Paper type and quality can make a difference too. Some cheap paper will allow too much bleed through and some has so much paper dust, it gums up the works in no time.

A while ago i started having problems with the print quality when printing text documents. It has not had heavy use and has a great Scanner.

I now suspect it may be the Printhead that needs replacing.

If so can this be done and is it worth it?

    Thanks happy

You need to check your printer's manual but my guess is it would make more economical sense to shop for a new printer.
