Ok I want start off by saysing i freaking hate printers.

Ok, another printer problem for you wonderful people.

We have two printers on the network, both HP LaserJet 4250tn's, that seemed to have mental blocks today. We would try to print to them and it would take the printer like 10-30min before it would finally print. I made sure the printer was not in sleep mode and there were no other jobs pending. So what on earth has made these two printers suddenly turn stupid? I'm not even sure if this is a printer problem or maybe a network problem. But with how many problems i've run into with these damn printers i'm sure someone out there has an idea about whats up. We have computers using windows xp pro service pack 2...... If you need any other info let me know!

You guys are life savers, thanks to everyone that even spends time reading this!

Ok..... And it seems that the laggyness is entirely random too.... at one point yesterday after not using the printer for nearly an hour it printed right away.... then 10 min later it stopped again and had to wait like 25 min before everything that had been sent there in the 25 min period all printed out at once.....

    anyone got any ideas?

And another thing.... Even if I try to print a configuration page from the printers own lcd thing it wont print until everything else does and in the correct order too..... So I dont think its a network thing..... right?.... wtf is up with these printers? confused

I had an issue with slow HPs and it seemed when ever I installed the Windows default drivers they were slow, but with the manufactures driver all was well. Is it slow from everyone's PC?

    Just throwing that out there..

Well for both of the printer each only has two roughly two people that realy use them, but yes all the people that use these printers have experienced it.... And we are using the manufacturer's server driver i believe.....

You might try reinstall them and see if that helps.
