now here is the real question: what should i do to connect them in a lan connection. i've tried everything i know but i can't get it to work. if someone knows the solution please write it step by step

anyway excuse my english, it's my second languge (croation is my first).

What do you mean when you say patch cable
what kind of cable do you mean?

If you are trying to connect 2 computers then you need a crossover cable

a patch cable is a straight through cable and will not work
on a computer to computer connection

    Crossover Cable:
Crossover cables again use RJ45 connectors, and are designed to connect two computer systems directly together

Crossover cables should not be used when trying to connect your computer to hardware components like a hub, switch, router, or modem. If you wish to connect a computer to one of those pieces of hardware then you should use a straight through cable

Also you might get better results to your answer if you post this on the network forum;)
