It's not a hoax. Ever been to KSC? It's really an awesome place and I highly recommend it.

star17 works at KSC...he will I'm sure be able to give you some concrete proof that we did in fact land on the moon.

Ask the conspiracist's what their proof is?

The burden is on them to put their proof across, pure hearsay and whats read from some none descript website doesnt constitute proof... pure hard facts are whats needed :)

Is this picture real or fake?

I love listening to the "Conspiracy Theories!" Some are compelling and some are waaaaay out there!

Here is a site for conspiracy theorists: The faked Apollo landing

And, here is a site debunking their claims: MoonHoax Debunked

    Both are interesting reads . .. . :D

They should imprison and torture these idiots who come up with conspiracy theories.

That's why they are called "theories". Because they aren't based on fact.

I long ago got tired of having to "explain away" the moon landing hoax bit; this is the age of skepticism, one believes what they want to believe. You can take any historical event and show it on The History Channel and then on a Fox Special, and it's no wonder half the people don't believe a damn thing anymore. A little remedial science is all that's needed to debunk the hoax sites.

I'll just leave it at this: at the height of Apollo, more than 390,000 people worked on the program. If it were fake, I don't know 10 people that can keep a secret, much less 390,000.

Columbus discovering America was a hoax. We're all actually living on a big lot in Italy.

The most appalling one I have heard is that 9/11 was a conspiracy, or so was JFK getting shot.

Well actually he did not discover America and the all of the American Indian tribes did. Even Leif Ericson was here before Columbus!

I mean after all, if some of the Indian tribes sailed over to Spain or Italy, would we be saying the Indians discovered Europe. Whoever was there first discovered it and Columbus (from what I remember) never even reach mainland America.

And for fun, read this too: http://www.economist.com/books/displaystory.cfm?story_id=5381851

See? You agree with me! It was a hoax! Note how many pizza joints there are in "America", and how popular spagetti is. This is significant!!!

    :D

Yeah, Columbus wasn't the "first" by a long shot, and Caribbean islands aren't quite the mainland. But "discover" doesn't just apply to whoever is first. Boys usually discover girls around puberty, anybody can discover a good restaurant that "nobody" knows about, different groups have discovered the same things independently all through history.

The biggest significance with Columbus is that his was the first group to set up shop and start selling tickets. ;)

I've heard something about that in the news, but I can't remember the exact details. They were just stating that the video footages that were supposed to be the evidence that men already landed there are just hoax. Why?For instance the lightning effects, it can be determined through the shadows of the gadget(I don't know what they called that thing) that were also present in that video. There were a concrete explanations in that news that I can't really remember but they have supporting evidences.

    Hahaha!

I also remember reading that spaghetti was not an Italian invention. Marco Polo brought it back from China.

Well, Polo brought back the noodles. The sauce is what made it spagetti.

Well if it was, it must have been pretty darned good, as I remember witnessing the launch in person (yep, I was one of the peeps watching the launch, even though I was only 10 at the time).

I also remember ducking under the rope and climbing into the Command module capsule in the Space Museum. (And yup, I got yelled at real quick by the Guard, but it was worth it, LoL!) ;) Pretty small inside, makes ya wonder how they managed to fit three guys and equipment in there.

Then there in the Lunar samples. Not to mention the fact that it was done again another five times - so it wasn't exactly a one off fluke.

The Conspiracy brigade like to point out that some photos were retouched, so that must mean the whole thing was faked. I just tell them "Excuse me, but they were Puplicity photos - meaning they were supposed to be retouched to look better" -DUUH!

The latest conspiracy theory is that Bird Flu is a Zionist plot.

Why do the poor Jews get blamed for everything?

  21. G.T.

    G.T. R.I.P February 4, 2007. You will be missed.

Well, not everything. They get blamed for anything that can't be blamed on Bush, Big Oil, or the evil Military/Industrial Complex.

Why? A combination of prejudice, ignorance, and stupidity.

It's either the Jews fault, or Americas.

Imagine if you are an American Jew?

I remember that first moonwalk like it was yesterday.

I think it was a sunday and we were working out in the barn, fixing some pens and I was freaking out cause the broadcast was about to start and Dad kept telling me we were not going in till we were done, and then Mom came out and said supper was ready and winked at Dad and I knew it was on tv.
