    Hi,

I stay in the UK and I'm looking at buying a laptop for 2 main purposes. 1. I want it record CCTV footage. 2. I want to use it for sequencing audio parts with simple "Kristal" software.

For the first purpose I gather I will need one with a video card in order to process/store/review such data. Is this always the case or would some laptops that aren't too pricey be strong enough without one? Do most include one?

For the second I am looking for something with an audio input line, just an analogue input. I assume such things are not present on most laptops, would I need an external sound card?

    All help/advice/thoughts welcome..........
