laptop gone deadly slow , run all tests

done everything still dead slow help!

 

Have HJT fix the below entry:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://hsremove.com/done.htm

After you complete the above, run CCleaner to clean up junk/temp files. Your log looks pretty good. I notice there is a lot of startup entries that could cause your slow down but nothing malicious.

I would however empty this folder below..

C:\RECYCLER

 

ive tried finding that recycler file but cant ?

Get into Folder Options and uncheck Hidden Files and Folders and also uncheck Hide Protected System Files.

 

ok got there but when i try and delete it says cannot delete ,cannot read from source file or disc

any ideas ?

Reboot into Safe Mode and try again to remove the contents of that folder. If you still can't it's nothing to worry about. Just run CCleaner to clean out any junk/temp files and you will be go to go.

Are things still running slow?

couldnt delete in safemode either!
when you say ive got a lot of start up things that could slow me up ,how do i change that?

Remove some of the unnecessary items like the ones below. I'm not familiar with this program but I'm sure it would run without all of these startup entries.
