laptop hard drive

    the hard drive on my HP laptop is making alot of noise. programs seem to be working fine but the laptop itself if very noise. Is my hard drive about to crash?

    Are you sure it is the HDD? maybe could it be the fan?

    Also laptops are noisylittle buggers in general, has it suddenly got louder? or have you just got it and it seems loud? how old is it?

    If your confident [and its not under any warranty you want to keep!] you could open it up and make sure everything is nice and tight, as something could have come loose.
