Laptop Internal Jumpdrive Mod

I got my self a used Compaq Evo N620c laptop form a friend. But it wasn't long before bone stock got to me. :-D I upgraded the ram to 2GB, ordered a 90nm Dothan CPU and sat down to chill and browse MG. I plugged in my USB mouse and the laptop shuts off. Turns out one of the usb ports is utterly broken and shorts out the 5V feed every time you try to plug anything into it leaving me with only one working USB port. This is simply unacceptable . Next thing I know I have laptop parts scatted all over my bed and I'm busting open my 2GB jump drive. 5 leads from a floppy drive cable, some solder work, and some careful weaving of wires around and bam! I have a internal 2GB jumpdrive. :cool

Now how are you going to transfer files to another pc with that?

I will be posting more when I get a chance. Converting the jump drive into a non-removable harddrive via a driver mod and using a third party version of speedbooster for XP. Time permitting I will be posting a 533FSB mod too. The i855PM chipset doesn't support a FSB of 533, but the PLL does and it has the correct PCI/AGP dividers.
