Laptop is suffering from sluggish internet and drained system resources

    My laptop has issues with internet connection stability and sluggish internet speeds. It is not a hardware issue, nor do I have issues with my ISP. My laptop is also showing signs of erratic and sluggish system behavior. This has been going on for almost a month and I don't know what more to do. I have run everything asked for in the "Read Me and Run Me First" section. The logs are attached.

    Additionally, I was unable to generate a log for Root Repeal. I hope that the other logs are sufficient enough to solve my issue(s).

    Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

    I want you to run TDSSKiller so refer to the below for how to do so.

    TDSSkiller - How to run

    Please also download MBRCheck to your desktop
    • Double click MBRCheck.exe to run (vista and Win 7 right click and select Run as Administrator)
    • It will show a Black screen with some information that will contain either the below line if no problem is found:
      • Done! Press ENTER to exit...
    • Or you will see more information like below if a problem is found:
      • Found non-standard or infected MBR.
      • Enter 'Y' and hit ENTER for more options, or 'N' to exit:
    • Either way, just choose to exit the program at this point since we want to see only the scan results to begin with.
    • MBRCheck will create a log named similar to MBRCheck_07.16.10_00.32.33.txt which is random based on date and time.
    • Attach this log to your next message. (See: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post )

    Thanks for the quick reply! TDSSKILLER came back clean. Log is attached. MBR Check did identify an issue. That log is attached as well.

    Not necessarily, it just reported an unknown MBR which does not mean infected.

    You used an outdated copy of MGTools...so...

    Now go to this MGTools and download the new version of MGtools.exe. Overwrite your previous MGtools.exe file with this one.

    Run the new C:\MGTools.exe and attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip

    I have re-installed MG Tools. I have run the .exe file several times. It goes through all the processes and then does not produce a MGlogs.zip file. I have restarted my computer twice and turned off my firewall and Antivirus protection. I'm not sure what is happening here. Please help.

    Please try it again now. There was a problem with the last file. I just updated it. Download and run the new MGtools See if it makes the MGlogs.zip file now. Thanks!

    Kestrel 13,
    Not much change since my original post. In the process of running all the software/scans, I had two Blue Screens appear (I hadn't had this happen up to this point). Additionally, booting up the computer is extremely slow, running more than one or two applications in Windows is slower than usual, and the internet is still suffering from connection stability and sluggish internet speed (relative to my other laptop in the house).
