Laptop Keyboard gone wierd!

Hello all
A rather simple question here for you guys in the know I'm sure.
My laptops keyboard has gone strange, its as if some of the keys have now turned into numbers. The right side of the keys at least. as if its turned into a number pad.
This happened after using windown MSN remote assistance. I believe the numlock may have come on somehow but I've got no idea how to revert it back to how it was!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You may have hit a function key, activating the numeric keypad and disabling the associated charter keys. Check your laptop manual or manufacturer website to find out how to switch off the function keys.

This can sometimes be found right on the laptop.. e.g press and hold FN and F8 or F9 or what ever.. look at the keys and the symbols and check your manual. I'm assuming this is limited to the keys that show both a charter in large print and a number sometimes in smaller print below it?
