Go here to Crucial and use the scanner.
    http://www.crucial.com/
It will tell you what you have now and what you can use. Actually tells a lot of info.

Yes it should be fine. There are only two different types of DDR2 laptop memory and the 200 pin memory like the one you showed is the most common type for laptop memory. I could be wrong but i'm 99.9% sure it'll work for you.

It doesn't have my model, N-10. I keep searching for it but for some reason when I look I can't find the Product Line for it or the Model and it's making me mad.

Did some googling and could find nothing for your eMachine other than it is the Low Budget line for Gateway, and that as with Dell and others some components are propitiatory so that maybe why you can't find it on the "Crucial" site............Would suggest downloading Everest from Major Geeks and run it and see what it has for memory modules. Hope that Helps

As the Crucial link did not appear to work, why not stir up Walmart for their advice.

They sold it you, they should be able to help.

Get the make and model numbers of RAM from them, and the maximum RAM that can be installed. Then check various sources for pricing.

We don't have Walmart here in Australia (yet) so I don't know how obliging they are in after sales service.

EVEREST as mentioned earlier, will also help you identify your RAM.
