laptop monitor blank after driver update

I installed Omega drivers for my nvidia geforce 5200, and after installing, restarted the computer, after loading through the regular windows is loading screen, when I would normally see a blue HP logo, and then the choose your user screen, I saw nothing. Luckilly I had an old external monitor, which does seem to work.
Its weird, when I start windows in safe mode or vga mode, or any special mode, the laptop monitor works fine, and it works fine up untill that HP logo point during startup. If I try to change the screen resolution in vga mode, however, the screen laptop screen dies again.

I tried installing nvidias newest official drivers, no luck, I tried reinstalling the omega drivers, no luck.

If anyone knows how to get my laptop's screen to work again, I would be most gracious. Thank you in advance.
