My brilliant coworker threw a magnet across the front of my laptop, and now the screen will fill up from the outside in with an odd grey haze, similar to when you apply pressure the the screen. I can get it to stop doing it if I have the monitor at odd angles, or if I apply pressure to the corners, but this is by no means a fix.

I was thinking about degaussing it, but I thought LCD monitors wouldn't have this problem. Any ideas of what the problem is, or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
