    Re: Travelmate 2200 vga

    Hi

    Merged threads on same issue.

What Windows version are you using? is it the original supplied Windows XP, if so then get the Acer VGA driver from HERE

Do make sure that you have installed the Chipset driver first and rebooted before installing the VGA driver, this one HERE

Do also tell us what Windows Service Pack you have? as well as what items in Device manager have yellow ! marks by them?

What is the full message to the BSOD for page_fault_on_nonpaged area? the full message can give us the faulting file and then maybe a solution, check Event Viewer for error messages at the time of the BSOD for this.

If you get a minidump message then follow this and "attach" in a text file the minidump report as per this guide HERE

I have installed XP Pro and updated to service pack 3, (which has me now thinking that could be a problem)

The only item marked with a yellow exclamtion point is the video controller.

the BSOD only came when installing a older version of the ATI catalyst controller and driver package so i gave up witht that.

I have installed smbus driver and went in no problems, just the VGA Driver makes the laptop loop restart when it gets to the xp loading screen.
