Laptop Not Turning Off

Hi guys really hoping somone clever can help me out not sure if its hardware or software problem ,windows 10 lenova laptop 14 months old , its not going into sleep when lid closed and you can hear the fans going on and off constantly when lid closed ,hibernate and shut down all do the same thing ,if I turn the laptop off as soon as I close the lid it starts up again ,can be very hard somtimes to boot the laptop after turning off and leaving the lid up which is the only way to turn it off .Also drains the battery very quickly and gets hot when its in sleep mode . Its like when the lid is open it things its closed and when closed thinks its open . I have run several virus checkers all came back clean and refreshed the laptop twice also used the repair app on here twice ,any ideas please as I can't think of any more myself .

 

Personally, I dont see the purpose in using Sleep or Hibernate.
These are disabled in my lappy, and power settings are customized to 'never' on power and battery!

When i have no need for it, I power the device down using start>power icon>shutdown.
Power up when needed again....simple!

 

would be simple if you did not have to put your password in everytime ,have tried to disable it uisng guides but its won't let you infact windows 10 won't let you do much of anything bring back good old XP shame they stopped doing updates for it . But the main problem as said if you turn it off using power buttons or any other method as soon as you close the lid it keeps cyling on and off draining the battery .
