Laptop Replacement Battery

    I bought a replacement battery for a UM08A31. The computer is an Acer Aspire One Laptop. the original battery is 3 cell but the replacement is 6 cell. I cannot get the laptop to recognize the new battery. Any thoughts before I return it?

    Is there the same input , volt etc as the old battery ? Read this

    Old battery:
    UM08A31
    Li-Ion
    10.8V 2200mAh

    New Battery:
    UM08A73
    Li-Ion
    11.V 4800mAh

    They didn't even send me the right battery. I just 'assumed' they sent me what I asked for. I know the model/part number matched when I ordered it. I will make sure everything else matches when I exchange this.

    in one swite that sells battery they said 10.8v and 11.1v battery should be consider elecrical idetical for replecement reasons
