    Hi,

Not sure if this is a driver issue or not.
The sound on the internal speakers are not working on the laptop. The sound from the headphones are. I have checked on Device manager and updated the sound drivers. Gone onto HP website to update all the required drivers as well. Running diagnostic checks reveals no other problems. When I go to Control Panel/Harware and Sound/Sound I can see the audio bar moving on the speaker icon when I play music

It sounds like a hardware problem to me. When you plug in headphones you disconnect the regular speakers. When you remove the jack for the headphones it should make the connection back to the regular speakers. It sound like a problem with the headphone jack or perhaps the speakers themselves or maybe just a wiring problem.

I don't think it's driver related although it could be software related.
