Laptop sticks at black screen once powered on then restarts (loop)

Hi Guys,

My laptop is sticking at a black screen once it's switched on, then you can hear it trying to read the cd drive then it restarts and loops the same over and over.

Any suggestions?

 

If you have a bootable CD (Windows, Linux, etc.), insert it into the CD drive and choose boot from CD first (usually "F12" in the start-up screen). If the computer boots from the CD, it points to an issue with either the on-board hard drive or hard drive controller.

If this is the case, try a new hard drive and reinstall Windows. This should solve the problem.
