Laptop stuck on slashscreen

    Hi,
    I have a Dell Latitude 1150 laptop. I had my ipod mini attached and the ipod and itunes were updating. When prompted to restart my laptop the laptop got stuck on the Dell splash screen...that says Latitude 1150 & Bios Revision A03 with the loading bar stopping 2/3 of the way and freezing. Am unable to start in safe mode, (meanwhile ipod says do not disconnect). Can anyone please help?
