you can, but you need some software like laplink. this is one feature that os x gets right. built in computer to computer file transfer via firewire/usb. how big are the files? thought of trying transferring over the network?

Here is one site that sells what you want http://www.lpt.com/
You can find them cheaper, just search for usb file transfer cable.. they usually have software that is a dual pane explorer, you just drag and drop files from one to the other.
BAFO is another brand I've used & has same software as the one I got from lpt.com - but cheaper.
Also it is cheaper if you find usb 1.1 versions

the suggestions below would be ok for file sharing alone but if you want to play games over it too im not sure they would work.

i dont know of any other way but to buy somethin, so i would suggest buying a USB network adapter(converts USB to an RJ45 Port), belkin do a nice one and they are fairly cheap.

install the drivers and it works fine on 10\100 networks just like a normal card

    hope this helps
