    This computer was redirecting from Google search in both IE and Chrome.

    I followed the steps for redirects and then ran Read and Run Me First.

    It appears that the redirects have stopped after running the Read and Run Me First steps. I'm attaching the logs to see if you see anything else needs be cleaned out.

    One thing we removed not related to the redirect was HTC Home, but it still appears in the Startup folder in MSConfig as Weather Widget and Friendstream Widget. Could you guide us on deleting that? Would this be done from HiJack This?

    Thanks

    Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
    When it opens, press the Scan button
    Now click the Registry tab and locate these detections:

    • [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKCU\[...]\Run : LogMeIn Cubby ("C:\Users\James\AppData\Roaming\cubby\cubby.exe" -hidden) [7] -> FOUND
      [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKUS\S-1-5-19[...]\Run : Temp (rundll32.exe "C:\Users\James\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Temp\iblfyqpju.dll",DllRegisterServerW) [x] -> FOUND
      [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKUS\S-1-5-20[...]\Run : Temp (rundll32.exe "C:\Users\James\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Temp\iblfyqpju.dll",DllRegisterServerW) [x] -> FOUND
      [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKUS\S-1-5-21-3059075359-2584453747-679563630-1000[...]\Run : LogMeIn Cubby ("C:\Users\James\AppData\Roaming\cubby\cubby.exe" -hidden) [7] -> FOUND
      [STARTUP][SUSP PATH] GamersFirst LIVE!.lnk @James : C:\Users\James\AppData\Local\GamersFirst\LIVE!\Live.exe [7] -> FOUND

    Place a checkmark each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.
    When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
    Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)
    Do not reboot your computer yet.

    Now run Hitman and have it remove:
    C:\Users\James\Desktop\AA.Net.Client\Hotel.exe

    And remove all the PUP's.

    Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    NOTE: HJT may popup an error about the AppInit_DLLs line. Ignore it and click OK to continue.

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

    Now copy just the bold text below to notepad (Do not include any space above the word REGEDIT). Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
    Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
    to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Now use windows explorer to find ( if it still exists ) and delete it:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\HTC Home

    Reboot and rescan with both RogueKiller and Hitman and attach those logs as well.

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Win7, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Attach the new C:\MGLogs.zip.

    I followed all the steps.

    This line was not shown in HJT, so it wasn't there to delete:

    O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-19\..\Run: [Temp] rundll32.exe "C:\Users\James\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Temp\iblfyqpju.dll",DllRegisterServerW (User 'LOCAL SERVICE')

    The initial RK file is attached, plus the RK, Hitman and MG logs after the cleanup.
    Thanks

    What issues are you still having, if any?

    No problems that I've observed at this point. The redirects have stopped with both IE and Chrome.

    Good to know.

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
      related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link
