Small problem first. Before reformatting and doing a clean install of XP I could go to my website, click on the sign in box a couple of times and admin and my password would auto fill. It won't anymore. I've went to tools..content..and everything is checked on autofill except forms. A bit of history, I went from AVG (no firewall except windows) to Avast and Online Armor. I also went from IE8 to IE7 (trying to resolve some problems). How can I resolve this. I turned off the firewall thinking that might be my problem but it wasn't.

Second but the largest problem. Since I did a reformat etc..I can't get my email service to recognize me. I use to click on it like I did my website and it would enter my username and password (no more). I understood why and thought no big deal and knew for sure the username and password for lt but after entering them, it won't work. I've had numerous emails with the support staff that runs this email service and I can't get anywhere with them. I ran across this program that allows a 15 day free trial called Spot Auditor that recovers passwords. Anyone got any input on the program or problem?

By doing this, you wiped ALL your previous settings, passwords, tweaks, etc from your previous set up. You have to re-enter everything. Hopefully you have a user-name/password record.

I realize I wiped out the settings and do have a password record but that's not getting it done either with my email service or IE7 remembering (or the sites remembering) my username and password and auto filling them in. I even have to enter admin and my password every time I go to my own site. Something is blocking the auto fill but it doesn't appear to be the settings. I'm still wondering about the program "Spot Auditor" amd whether it's safe to run it.

I guess I'm being fairly dumb here. I would guess if I refornatted my hard drive there wouldn't be any passwords to retrieve. I know that if you don't use a program like killdisk that information on a hardrive can be retrieved but don't think this Spot Auditor would be that kind of a program.
