LARGE problem with self installing "antivirus" programs!

Okay here goes.... on Wednesday I deleted Norton Anti-Virus form my pc and attempted to install McAfee which somehow ended up taking until Friday evening. so that's about a day and a half without anti-virus protection. Apparently that's all it takes because I immediately began noticing my PC being very slow and started receiving pop-ups about my pc being unprotected. The next day I logged onto my username and discovered my wallpaper had been changed to a bloody radioactive symbol and my homepage on firefox was changed to a supposed "windows security and virus protection central". Even as I type this in I am being spammed by messages telling me I have critical errors with generic WINDOWS symbols. It took about 45 minutes to log in to this site and get to this page! Here is my hijackthis log and I really hope that omeone can help me out! Thanks ahead of time!
