Winter still holds some photographic pleasures!

Here is a link to my latest captures through the lens! Many piccies, but small file size to prevent long load times! :)

    Eye candy! :D

Nice photo's...I especially liked the first tree photo though the flowers were all nice as well. Good one of the sun over the reeds.

Yepper, nice pictures, Solange. I thought the dock and the rock were really artsy.

Nice pics. Love the lake. We have a few months to go before the ice melts off our lakes.

    Hi Solange!
Ii appreciate so much the work that goes into not only taking pictures, but doing that extra step to share them with other people. I simply would not know much about Sweden if I had not had the chance to see it through your eyes.
Thinking of you and your cat!

Nice pics, Solange. I especially liked the one of the sunset . . . gotta weakness for shots like that.

You have a natural talent for photography, like my youngest son does.

Thanks for the kind words! :) It means a lot to me!

I'm using a Panasonic DMC-FZ7 and most of the outdoor shots are taken on the "Scenery" setting. A few I've taken manually, mainly with a faster shutter speed to avoid over-exposure. The greenhouse shots are taken on macro setting when very close up, but most of them are taken on Scenery setting.

The camera is still relatively new to me, so I'm still not quite used to all the settings that can be tweaked, still playing around with it.

Great pictures there, Solange. You even have a picture of a Blackboy (A.K.A., Grass Tree). A native plant in this neck of the woods. Older specimens have the distinctive 'spear' flower head. But at a growth rate of approx. 2cm per year, you may not be seeing one on that specimen any time soon.

Good work, and great 'atmosphere' on those shots. :cool :)

Very strange looking plants indeed, we have nothing like that in our own natural flora, guess it is too cold and too wet here!

Bazza, that is the one. I'm very pleased with it, it isn't an SLR, but it doesn't feel so far from it since it is possible to set so many things manually on it, and it is also possible to add clip on lenses to it. I haven't done that yet, they are quite expensive, but I do have a polarizing filter that I use most of the time. Makes it slightly bulkier to carry around, but it is light enough, but still enough camera body to lay steady in my hands even for slightly longer exposures! :)
