    sudoko

its a number puzzle. the idea is to arrange the numbers 1 thru 9 alond each row, horizontal and vertical, AND in each 3X3 square.
i dicided to copy one for the maths class at jacobs school. i couldn't print directly from the site, but i could capture the image on screenhunter. i showed hubby the puzzle and explained it and he said 'why is there a little hand on it giving you the finger?' the hand is the curser from screenhunter so i dont know that i can avoid capturing it but i certainly cant give it to jacobs class.

Argh! Everyone is doing these things. On the tube, if someone has a paper in front of them chances are they'll be doing a sudoku.

Personally I don't see what's so great, but I'm crap with numbers so there you go...

Laurie the "pointy hand" is the "link select" icon. If you go Start/Control Panel and look at your mouse control panel applet then you should see a list of mouse pointer icons

Actually that cursor in the picture you first posted was the Flash cursor - you can't change that. And it's pointing with it's index finger. There is a thumb. If you had 6 fingers then maybe it might be giving you "the finger".... :p

I've tried to stay away from this thread but somehow given in!

My mum's hooked to this, she can do the Samurai's and the Killers that The Times produce every day, it's really sad!

i find most brain teasers too easy to bother with, so its nice to have puzzles that take some working out. that said, once you have done a couple and got into the logic of the thing, this too becomes not so much an exercise in intelligence, but more an exercise in procedure. when i was in england i used to do those logic puzzles, but found the same thing applied. they don't sell them here so this has been a welcome little number gymnasium.
